tried planting salmon happened. tried bass, trout, mahi mahi. Nothing. Yesterday planted row lobsters, I’m hopeful. te special fertilizer grow hydroponically? missing?

Yeah…that is a problem…Years ago, I tried a salmon farm, and I had the same problem. Hmmm…maybe I should have fertilized them with fish emulsion?? Then I tried a Boneless Chicken ranch, but I could never get them to go to their cages at night…actually, all they did was lay around all day like blobs of jello..Lazy Chickens!!

If I am not mistaken, the term “fish farm” is a misnomer, and the farm part simply means that they are raising fish for profit. Usually this involves some tightly controlled ponds full of various fish and fish food, forming a small ecosystem. They are designed to produce mass quantities of fish to be sold to various markets or food manufacturers.
Sorry, but it has nothing to do with soil or fertilizer. Although I think it would be awesome if it did.
The trick is to use salt water when watering a fish farm of salt water fish. Fresh water fish need fresh water of course. Although both types like bourbon or gin and tonics.
